Today, the Israeli army launched a violent attack on the funeral procession of the Palestinian journalist Shireen Abu Akleh as it was leaving the French hospital.

The occupation forces stipulated that Shireen’s body be transported by car, and they removed the Palestinian flag from her and prevented the Palestinians from catching up with the martyr’s body.

The Israeli occupation army had imposed restrictions on the funeral arrangements for Abu Akleh, and while new testimonies about the crime appeared in public, Washington entered the line and expressed a new position.

Abu Akleh was shot in the head on Wednesday while covering the Israeli army’s invasion of Jenin refugee camp in the West Bank, which has been occupied by Israel for more than 50 years. She was wearing a helmet and a flak jacket with the word “press” written on it.

The announcement of her death sparked strong resentment in the Palestinian territories and the Arab world, where she has been following her reports for more than two decades, as well as in Europe and the United States.
