On Saturday evening, the Earth witnessed a partial solar eclipse, with the moon’s shadow covering around 64% of the surface of the sun’s disk.
The partial eclipse, which lasted three hours and fifty-four minutes, was visible in parts of southern and western South America, the Pacific and Atlantic oceans, and Antarctica.
The list of astronomical events scheduled this year is lengthy, with the nearest one occurring in mid-May, when we will experience the first lunar eclipse of 2022.
