Russian President Vladimir Putin has warned the West that Russia will hit new targets if the United States begins supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles.
Putin boasted that Russian forces using anti-aircraft guns shot down dozens of Ukrainian fighters “very easily”.
Putin did not say what targets Russia intends to target if Western countries start supplying Ukraine with long-range missiles. Putin said the “fuss” over the supply of Western weapons to Ukraine was intended to prolong the conflict.
US President Joe Biden announced plans to supply Ukraine with high-precision HIMARS missile systems after receiving assurances from Kyiv that it would not use them to strike targets inside Russia.
