Queen Elizabeth’s dresses… of wax!

Madame Tussauds in London displays a collection of royal wax dresses to mark the platinum jubilee of Queen Elizabeth’s reign. The exhibition includes costumes for the coronation gown designed by Joanne Tussauds, granddaughter of Marie Tussaud who founded the famous wax museum.

Tussauds also reinvented one of the Queen’s new dresses, which was then designed by royal tailor Norman Hartnell.

On June 2, Queen Elizabeth II, who recently turned 96, celebrates the Platinum Jubilee marking the 70th anniversary of her accession to the British throne.
