The Lebanese University is threatened by the failure to rise its budget

The higher education sector and the Lebanese University, in particular, are at risk of collapsing due to the collapse of the economic and financial situation and the low salaries of university professors, which prompted the Executive Board of the Association of Full-time Professors at the Lebanese University to carry out a sit-in at the Republican Palace junction yesterday, coinciding with the cabinet session.

To shed more light on this issue, Dr. Amer Halawani, the President of the Executive Board of the Association of Full-time Professors at the Lebanese University, joined us by phone.

It was found that banks place restrictions on the worker and deprive him of withdrawing his entire monthly wage. Rather, they impose restrictions, which leads to the exchange rate difference being charged to him.
