Today, the United States imposed sanctions on an international network of oil smuggling and money laundering led by officials in the Quds Force of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

The network facilitated the sale of hundreds of millions of dollars of Iranian oil to the Quds Force and Hezbollah.

The ministry said in a statement that this oil smuggling network was a critical element in collecting oil revenues for Iran. The Foreign Ministry added that it classified this network as a terrorist organization.
