In the latest show of force, South Korea and the United States today sent twenty warplanes to fly over the waters surrounding the Korean Peninsula, in a direct message to North Korea.
The air maneuvers came after the two countries launched eight ballistic missiles yesterday into the Sea of Japan, in response to North Korea’s launch last Sunday, eight short-range missiles from four different locations within thirty minutes.
Today, US Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman warned Pyongyang against conducting a new nuclear test, and threatened that there would be a strong and clear response from the entire world to this step.
