True, the citizen of Lebanon unquestionably pays the most expensive phone bill in the world, according to evidence acquired by Sawt Beirut International for a citizen’s bill that amounted to 500 US dollars at an exchange rate of 1,500 pounds to the dollar, which equals 750,000 pounds, which is more than the minimum wage. The Internet is not the only breakdown in communication, but according to Sawt Beirut International, 330 transmitting stations out of 2,500 distributed throughout Lebanese territories have been suspended due to a lack of maintenance and a severe shortage of fuel oil, making the journey to obtaining a fixed network a daily torment for the Lebanese citizen.
