Army has resumed compensation distribution to residents harmed by the port blast

The Directorate of Orientation of the Army Command issued the following statement:

“On January 2nd, 2022, the concerned army units resumed the process of distributing compensation to the citizens affected by the explosion of Port of Beirut, noting that the amount reached 2,679,900,000 LBP.

334 residential units benefited from these compensations, classified as medium and below average, spread over Mar Mikhael, Gemmayze, Ras Beirut, Karm el-Zaytoun, Corniche el-Nahr, Jeitaoui, Sassine, Al Mudawwar, Remeil, Roum, Rizk, Adliya, Tabaris, Bourj Hammoud, the waterfront of Dora Coast, Boushrieh, Jdeideh al-Boushrieh, Sin el-Fil, Mazraa and Khandak el-Ghamik, Al-Bashoura, Ain al-Mraiseh, Zokak el-Blat and al-Msaytbeh.

The distribution will resume on 2/2/2022 in the areas mentioned above, in addition to Basta, Chiyah, Furn el-Chebbak and Zalka.”
