Caretaker Minister of Justice, Marie-Claude Najm, met with the Director of the crisis and conflict department and the Human Rights Watch Beirut office, Lama Fakih, and an accompanying delegation.

They discussed the Law on the Independence of the Judiciary, and on ways to bolster the role and effectiveness of the judiciary, especially in the investigation file into the Beirut port explosion, in harmony with the general principle on which the organization is working around the world and in Lebanon, which is defending human rights.
