A high-pitched response from Al-Rahi: Lebanon is not built with this perverted approach

The Maronite Patriarch, Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi, indicated that “it is time to change the reality that is full of hatred and maliciousness,” stressing that “Lebanon is not built, does not grow, and unites with this approach that deviates from the values of its people and its history.”

He said: “I wish those who perpetrated these policies and fabricated files would learn from those who preceded them and from the experiences that confirm that the unrighteous do not enter the honorable history of Lebanon.”

In the sermon he delivered at the mass he presided over in Diman: “What Bishop Moussa Al-Hajj was subjected to violated the dignity of the Church, and in vain is the authority trying to turn it into a mere legal matter. We demand that all that was confiscated from him be returned to Archbishop Al-Hajj.”

Patriarch Al-Rahi addressed “to those who abuse Lebanon,” saying: “Stop saying that aid comes from clients and look for clients elsewhere, for you know where they are and who they are.”

He also stressed that “the Patriarchate is steadfast in its stances and will continue its path,” calling for “the convening of an international conference for Lebanon to resolve the contentious issues that Lebanon is unable to resolve, and we pledge to the Lebanese to stand by their side no matter how severe the challenges, so that the Lebanese suffering will suffice.”

He also called for “the formation of a new government as soon as possible and the election of a new president of the republic within the constitutional deadlines, because Lebanon deserves a new government and a new president.”

He added: “The message in the state is to exercise power in order to secure the common good and in order to strengthen the national economy and give everyone hope, especially the future generations, and secure job opportunities, and therefore the goal of political action is the citizen, and for our part, we will not abandon our humanity and human service no matter what the cost.” .
