Banque du Liban announced in a statement that “the trading volume on the Sayrafa platform has reached, for today, $87,000,000 US dollars, at a rate of 30,100 Lebanese pounds, in conformity with the exchange rates of transactions carried out by banks and exchange institutions on the platform.”

“Banks and exchange institutions should continue to record all purchase and sale transactions on the “Sayrafa” platform, in accordance with circulars issued in this regard,” BDL concluded.
Governor of the Banque du Liban, Riad Salameh, issued in a statement that “based on Articles 75 and 83 of the Monetary and Credit Law, the Banque du Liban, through the SAYRAFA platform, will sell the US dollar exclusively, starting next Tuesday, knowing that it will not be a purchaser of the dollar through the SAYRAFA platform from then until further notice.
