The Governor of the Bekaa, Judge Kamal Abu Jawdeh, issued a circular to all municipalities within the governorate, in the context of following up on the issue of locusts invading some villages in the northern Bekaa in the past two days, and gave his instructions to follow up monitoring the locust swarms in the event of their arrival and to communicate when necessary with the head of the Agriculture Department in the Bekaa, Dr. Khalil Aql, After it became clear that a small number have arrived in two towns of the governorate.
