The launch of the second campaign to combat locusts in Deir Al-Ahmar

The Ministry of National Defense in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture launched the second phase of combating locusts in Deir al-Ahmar region and its surroundings.

The Head of the Agriculture Authority in the Baalbek-Hermel Governorate, Dr. Akram Wehbe, inspected the Tamnin and Brital regions.

A helicopter set off in the morning hours today, Friday, from Riyak Air Force Base, and worked on spraying pesticides mainly deltamethrin, in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture. This is to combat the swarm locusts that invaded the valley last night.
