UNIFIL grants 65 oxygen concentrators to Red Cross

UNIFIL’s Civil Affairs Office granted 65 Oxygen Concentrator devices to the Lebanese Red Cross branches in Tyre, Bint Jbeil, Tebnine, Rmeish and Shab.

UNIFIL said that it has distributed 15 devices for Tyre branch, 15 for Bint Jbeil, 15 for Tebnine, ten for Rmeish, and ten devices for Shebaa.

UNIFIL West Sector Commander, General Davide Scalabrin praised the role of the Lebanese Red Cross and its efforts to fight coronavirus pandemic. He also thanked the Red Cross t for its “sacrifices and humanitarian message in order to serve the people.”

He also considered that “the project is the result of an excellent cooperation between UNIFIL, the local authorities and the Lebanese Red Cross.”

Tyre Municipality Mayor Hassan Dabouq thanked UNIFIL in general and the Italian contingent in particular for “their constant and continuous support for the South,”
