The suspicious car worried the people of the area, but a security source explained that “a patrol from the Republican Guard Brigade was on a routine mission and suspected a Mercedes car parked in a suspicious manner, on the road leading to Baabda Palace

It pointed out that “the road was cut off, the car was searched and its documents were checked, and it was found that it was stolen and the driver left it on the road and fled to an unknown destination. The car was later handed over to Internal Security Forces to complete the appropriate procedures.”

On the other hand, the source denied that “the car was booby-trapped, as it was circulated through WhatsApp and websites.”
