The Minister of Education and Higher Education Tarek Al Majzoub issued Circular No. 13/M/2021, stipulating the main objectives of language subjects and the main topics for the rest of the courses,, exclusively for the 2021-2022 academic year, as well as the content, learning objectives, and basic competencies of the kindergarten curriculum.

According to the Minister of Education and Higher Education,

Decree No. 10227/97 dated May 8, 1997 (defining the pre-university general education curricula and objectives), and circulars related to the details of the curriculum content for each of the subjects in the different grades, and the circulars issued by them related to the details of the curriculum content.

Decision No. 556/m/2020 dated 06/19/2017 (the subject of teaching the Palestinian issue),
Circular No. 21/m/2016 dated 03/09/2016 (related to the temporary suspension of work on some curriculum content and themes),
Circular No. 28/M/2018 dated May 21, 2018 related to amending Circular No. 21/M/2016 dated 3/9/2016 (temporarily stopping work on some content and themes of the curricula previously issued in some academic subjects),
Circular No. 30/m/2020 dated 9/16/2020 (setting the main objectives of the language courses and the main topics of the rest of the courses),
Circular No. 6/M/2021 dated 4/15/2021 (determining the main objectives of language courses and the main topics of the rest of the courses),
Amending Circular No. 5/M/2021, dated 4/15/2021, related to defining the content, learning objectives, and basic competencies for the kindergarten curriculum.

In light of the oppressive conditions given the epidemic, Lebanon’s severe economic state, the difficult social conditions and the disruption of educational attendance. Circular No. 6/M/2021 (determining the primary objectives of language courses and the key topics for the remainder of the disciplines) and Circular No. 5/M/2021 (determining the content, learning objectives, and basic competencies for the kindergarten curriculum) were both issued on April 15, 2021.

Redefining the main objectives of the language courses and the main topics for the rest of the subjects: (French language and literature, Arabic language and literature, English language and literature, mathematics, physics, chemistry, life sciences, history, geography, education, civic education, sociology, economics and philosophy ) and the kindergarten curriculum in all fields (linguistic development, scientific development, social development, sensory-motor development, art education).

Relies fundamentally on the following:

First, according to the attached annexes, which are an important part of this circular, it defines the main objectives of the language subjects, the basic topics of the rest of the educational disciplines, and the kindergarten curriculum for the academic year 2021-2022 solely.
Second, any earlier circular or directive that is in conflict with the content of this circular will be revoked.
