Association of Banks: solution lies in government return to work

The Association of Banks in Lebanon regretted the deterioration of the living conditions, “which may herald a security breach that threatens the interests of all Lebanese.”

The Association hoped “the recovery of the wounded colleagues who, despite all the challenges, are still fulfilling their duties to serve customers in a way that ensures the continuity of banking work and financial order.”

It also called on them to “intensify their efforts and arrest the perpetrators to confront any similar acts of sabotage,” noting that “the solution is subject to the restoration of government and legislative work within the framework of approving a comprehensive reform plan that guarantees the rights of the Lebanese.”

It is noteworthy that a gang consisting of two young men on a motorcycle tried to rob the Byblos Bank – Zalka branch.
