The 2022 elections are pivotal and fateful in every sense of the word. It is not only related to political-economic choices, but rather to national and entity choices. The electoral battle is between two poles: Hezbollah and its allies who seek to change Lebanon’s face and its orientations, and the group of sovereigns who are still standing up to now in the face of Iranian hegemony over Lebanon.

The yellow party’s goal in all its electoral movement is to achieve two things.

The first: that he and his allies obtain 86 out of the 128 deputies, which allows him to control major decisions in the House of Representatives, especially in the presidential elections, whose constitutional date will begin four and a half months after the parliamentary elections. The second thing that the party seeks to achieve is that it and its allies own the sectarian pact. This explains the campaign against Walid Jumblatt. The party is Shiite-dominated, and it has powerful Sunni and Christian allies, but it still needs Druze legitimacy. It is a legitimacy that can only be secured through the victory of a number of Druze candidates to confront the Druze bloc owned by Walid Jumblatt.

Will Hezbollah be able to achieve its two strategic goals, thus being able to consolidate political control over Lebanon? It is the central question, and from here the current elections are crucial. Therefore, Lebanese, your country needs you, and the electoral duty is calling you. They participated massively in the following fateful entitlement, “Your votes are our legitimate weapon for us to sit and stay.”
