Once again, thanks to the people of Ain El Remmaneh. The lawsuit filed on their behalf by lawyer Elie Mahfoud and a number of other lawyers against the Secretary General of Hezbollah, Hassan Nasrallah, is more than important and has more than one significance.
Before the people of Ain al-Remmaneh, who filed the lawsuit, Nasrallah used to strike, and exercise his power over the Lebanese without fearing a lawsuit or complaint. But from now on, the situation is different. The Lebanese are tired of silence aand submission. They are tired of Nasrallah’s finger that is always raised in their face, and they decided to face him with justice. Will the judiciary dare and act against the Secretary General of Hezbollah as it should, or will the sway of arms be stronger than the sway of truth and justice? And most importantly, will the internal security forces implement what the judiciary requires, or will they falter, as they were late in the issue of Ali Hassan Khalil, on the pretext that civil peace presupposes that?
Whatever happens is not normal. Once again, the Lebanese prove that they have crossed the barrier of fear of Hezbollah and its weapons, and of the show of force that it exercises on occasions and without occasions. They are bolder than their state and their officials who do nothing to limit the power of Hezbollah and its control over decision-making in Lebanon. People follow the religion of their kings or rulers. So it is said. Wish the proverb would be reversed here, so that the rulers in Lebanon would adopt the religion of the people, and would have the necessary courage to stand up to the leader of the jurist in Lebanon, Hassan Nasrallah, and his party, which believes only in force and weapons!
