An attempt by Aoun and his team to exploit the Pope’s visit!

Until now, and assuming the unexpected does not occur, Pope Francis intends to visit Lebanon in June. The news is critical for Lebanon and the Lebanese people. However, the Lebanese authorities will not allow the Lebanese to rejoice over any significant issue. Instead of delegating the announcement of the Pope’s visit to the Vatican departments, the Republican Palace in Lebanon rushed to spread the word, as if it were a political development or regional activity, or even a race between political blocs!

Is it acceptable? Is it permissible for the era to exploit everything in order to float itself and strengthen its collapsed popular position to the point of collapse? Was it the matter of the Covenant and its president that they seek to turn the visit to Japan as a platform to achieve immediate and local political goals?

Anyway, it’s not surprising. Just as the covenant sold Lebanon’s Arab and Gulf relations in order to float its alliance with Hezbollah and strengthen its position with Iran, the covenant is also ready to jeopardize Lebanon’s relations with the Holy See in the service of immediate interests.

As long as President Michel Aoun is in Baabda Palace, there is no hope that Lebanon will return to its former glory in regional and international forums. Since the people are the source of authority, changes must begin with the People’s Assembly, i.e. the House of Representatives.

Therefore, the Lebanese, your country needs you, and the electoral duty is calling you. They participated massively in the upcoming parliamentary elections, “your votes are our legitimate weapon for us to sit and stay.”
