Gebran Bassil is once again trying to play the victim!

Gebran Bassil has not mastered anything in life, such as getting rid of all the allegations that have been linked to him and his current tendency to cast them at others. In this aspect, he adheres to a single principle: denial. In his address today, for example, he attempted to defend the covenant in a crude manner, claiming that some of those who elected the president did so in order to watch him fail!

The question is whether the covenant failed because of others or because he did not understand how to rule over a country, did not know how to govern balances, and did not develop state affairs management with honesty and openness. Bassil, on the other hand, regards the October 17 revolution as a fake revolution that remained mute about the corrupt while accusing the human person, which is an inaccurate description.

The October 17 revolution is not a sham, as evidenced by Gebran Bassil and his ilk’s refusal to engage people in the streets, neighborhoods, and public spaces. The public awoke, recognized the corrupt and opportunists, and the system’s pillars could no longer pass all their deals and quotas. However, the revolution has not yet fulfilled all of its objectives, thus it remains an incomplete revolution, but it is not a false revolution.

Finally, in his speech, Bassil feels that his current war is with those who perpetuate the myth of Iran’s occupation of Lebanon. Is Hezbollah’s weapon a fabrication? Is May 7 a hoax? Is Beirut’s perversion through the renowned sit-in a lie? Is it true that black shirts are a myth? These are undeniable, proved, and verified facts, but Bassil’s words fail to admit the reality.

As a result, dear Lebanese, Lebanon needs you, and your electoral responsibility is calling. They voted in large numbers, saying, “Your ballots are your rightful weapon, let’s sit and remain in office.”
