“Your voices are our legitimate weapon… to get rid of them and stay”

Ramadan Kareem. It is clear that the beginning of the month of goodness brings good omens, at least on the diplomatic level. All information intersects when it is confirmed that a number of Saudi diplomats have arrived in Lebanon in preparation for the return of Ambassador Walid al-Bukhari. Also, the information speaks of the soon return of the Kuwaiti ambassador to Lebanon.

The two expected returns will have positive repercussions on the Lebanese reality. Not only politically, but also on the human level. As the two returns coincide with the launch of a humanitarian aid project in the month of Ramadan. It is a project that Lebanon desperately needs at this stage in its history. The Gulf return is accompanied by information from world capitals that Lebanon is still at the forefront of attention despite the international preoccupation with the Ukrainian-Russian war.

The countries of the world want to help Lebanon, but the problem is that Lebanon does not want to help itself. The evidence is what happened and is happening with respect to the Capital Control bill. Therefore, waiting for reform from this system is futile. Whoever was raised on corruption, no reform is expected from him. Transparency cannot be achieved under the rule of the corrupt. Real and profound change in Lebanon will only start from the ballot box.

Dear Lebanese people: Your country needs you. Participated extensively in the elections: “Your voices are our legitimate weapon… to get rid of them and stay”.
