The Head of the Marada Movement, Sleiman Frangieh, urged “the President of the Republic, Michel Aoun, and the Prime Minister-designate to hold talks for several hours, and with the presence of Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, because a ten-minutes meeting held every 3 months is not effective to establish a successful government.”
“The assassination of Martyr former Prime Minister Rafik Hariri was a turning point in the region as a whole and a moment of switchover from a stage to another,” Frangieh affirmed during an interview with An-Nahar newspaper.
“We’re proud of being President Bashar Al Assad’s friends, and proud of the strong relations with the resistance, Syria and the allies,” he said. “I may be the only one who moved from the family to the party, while others moved from the party to the family.”
In light of governmental talks, Frangieh explained that “no one has communicated with us, so we did not ask or demand anything, but will acit according to the results.”
