Abd AL-Sater: “I have no certainty that we will know who blew up the port of Beirut”

The pastor of the Maronite parish of Beirut, Bishop Paul Abdel Sater, thanked Judge Sawan, saying: “I salut him for the work he did until he was asked to step down from the file and the new judge is known for his integrity and boldness.”

Bishop Abdel Sater added in an interview to Al-Jadeed channel, that “if the representatives we elected were unable to achieve the people’s ambition, let them resign, and the Beirut deputies made an effort after the Beirut bombing, but they could have exerted a greater effort to make people feel their presence.”

He continued, “I have no certainty that we will know who blew up the port of Beirut, and it is the state responsibility to reveal the facts. Today, the Lebanese are looking for safety and dignity, and it is not appropriate for any person to fight for a carton of milk, and the merchant has no right to monopolize these goods.”
