Abou Chakra to Sawt Beirut International: Stations’ owners can no longer hold on

Fuel distributors’ Representative , Fadi Abu Chakra, told “SawtBeirut International’ website, that he regrets the significant rise in the fuel price schedule today.

He added: “After the oil importing companies were closed for three days and the fuels were not delivered to the stations that carried out their duties during the parliamentary elections on Lebanese soil, and after their stocks ran out, the stations were surprided with the rise in fuel prices, as the price of a gasoline plate rose by 35 thousand pounds.”

He pointed out that the owners of the stations no longer have the ability to continue after their capital declined significantly.

Abu Chakra appealed to officials to put an end to the fluctuation of the dollar exchange rate, which reached today the limits of 30 thousand pounds.
