Earlier today the Iranian embassy announced, through its account on “Twitter”, the arrival of Iranian oil tankers to Beirut.

The embassy wrote on its Twitter account: “Without the trifles of the American ambassador. The ambassador should not interfere in the brotherly relations between the two countries and the Iranian and Lebanese peoples.”

One hour later the Lebanese Ministry of Energy denied the Iranian embassy’s announcement of the arrival of two oil tankers to Beirut port, Al-Hadath TV reported.

The ministry stated, according to Al-Hadath, that “no Iranian company requested permission to enter oil ships.”
