Akar winds up Qatar visit by meeting with PM Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani

Deputy Prime Minister, Caretaker Minister of Defense and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zeina Akar, on Wednesday concluded her visit to the State of Qatar by meeting with  the Qatari Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani.

Minister Aker thanked the State of Qatar for always standing by Lebanon during crises, hailing the ongoing Qatari aid since the Beirut Port explosion.

Discussions touched on the recent developments in the region in light of the meetings of the foreign ministers of Arab countries, the Lebanese-Qatari relations and the condition of the Lebanese community in Qatar.

Sheikh Khaled bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani  affirmed Qatar’s readiness to provide any assistance to Lebanon in light of the difficult circumstances it is passing through, wishing Lebanon and the Lebanese people stability and tranquility.

Minister Akar, in turn, wished the State of Qatar further prosperity and progress.
