Al-Majzoub: Distance learning to continue until decision to return to blended learning is issued

Caretaker Education Minister, Tarek al-Majzoub, issued Saturday Decree No. 80/M/2021 related to organizing administrative work within the Ministry, the Lebanese University, the Educational Center for Research and Development, and educational institutions, starting Monday morning, March 22, 2021.

The decree stipulates that following the completion of the third phase of the gradual easing of lockdown measures, which included the attendance of employees by 50% until 21/3/2021, it has been decided to continue with distance learning in private and public educational institutions for the time being until the decision to return to blended learning is issued.

It also indicated that the directors of private educational institutions and a number of administrators and accounting officials are permitted to attend to their offices during the official working hours to ensure the necessary administrative work flow.

It also stated that administrative work in the general directorates of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and the Educational Center for Research and Development in the central departments and administrative units in the various governorates, and at the Lebanese University, shall continue with full-attendance of employees according to their official working hours, as of upcoming Monday morning, while adhering to public safety requirements and all necessary preventive measures against the Coronavirus.
