General Michel Aoun, President of the Republic, congratulated French President Emmanuel Macron on his re-election to a second term.

President Aoun wished President Macron well in continuing to lead France for another five years, during which time he will be able to achieve the growth and prosperity that the friendly French people desire.

Moreover, the President noted the deep-rooted relations between Lebanon and France throughout history, “Which are the fruit of a partnership in the values and principles that the two countries believe in, as well as the deep friendship that binds the Lebanese and French peoples, which will witness more strength and depth in the new term”.

In addition, President Aoun expressed his appreciation for President Macron’s stances towards Lebanon and the support he provided, which is still an affirmation of the humanitarian dimensions that characterize the Lebanese-French bilateral relations.
