President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, followed-up since the early morning the development of the fuel crisis and the sufferings facing citizens waiting in front of gas stations.

President Aoun contacted Energy Minister, Raymond Ghajar, and concerned departments in the ministry, asking to take quick and strict measures in order to alleviate the severity of this fabricated crisis, stop the exploitation of citizens.

In addition, the President contacted Interior Minister, Brigadier General Mohammed Fahmy, and a number of security apparatus leaders, asking them to help the concerned administrative bodies in preventing the storage of fuel and placing fuel at citizen-disposal.

President Aoun requested strict enforcement of laws with violators, until the crisis recedes within 48 hours.
