Aoun studied ways to address the emerging situation with multiple Gulf countries

The President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, followed up on the ongoing contacts to address the situation that arose from the decision of a number of Gulf countries to withdraw their ambassadors from Lebanon and ask the Lebanese ambassadors there to leave their territories, and to monitor Western and international reactions.

And he studied ways to address the emerging situation, especially in light of the meetings that Prime Minister Najib Mikati held with a number of Arab and foreign leaders on the sidelines of the climate conference in Glasgow.

President Aoun was briefed on the reports received from the Lebanese diplomatic missions abroad, which dealt with the situation of the Lebanese in a number of Gulf countries.

President Aoun also received this morning at Baabda Palace, Minister of Justice, Judge Henry Khoury, and he discussed with him the general situation and the repercussions resulting from the measures taken by a number of Gulf countries against Lebanon.

Khoury explained that contacts are continuing to address the latest developments, and the situation is supposed to crystallize after President Mikati’s return from London this evening.
