Head of Parliamentary Health Committee, MP Assem Araji, tweeted: “Annulling of the Taif Agreement, that has put an end to the Lebanese civil war, and which I experienced part of it as a trainee doctor at the American University Hospital, has cause hundreds of thousands of deaths, immense migration and massive devastation.”

He pointed out that going to a new founding conference may put the country in the eye of a  storm and chaos.

Lebanon is groaning under the weight of deteriorating economic conditions and a stifling political crisis, as it has been without a government for more than a year, while experts warn that the Lebanese economy is on the verge of collapse after decades of mismanagement and corruption.
