The Representative of Lebanon’s fuel distributors, Fadi Abou Shakra announced, in a statement, that a meeting was held today at the Ministry of Energy and Water headed by Minister Walid Fayyad. The meeting deliberated on the decision of the Governor of the Banque du Liban to pay 10 percent of the price of fuel in US dollars.

Abou Shakra affirmed that “the meeting was positive, and they are the first and final ministers who are citizens and permanently secure fuels in the markets,” and added, “There is no problem with the fuels that are available in all stations scattered over all Lebanese territory.”
