General Joseph Aoun, the Commander of the Armed Forces, left Lebanon for the United States on the invitation of General Mark Milley, the Chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, to discuss methods to continue supporting and strengthening the army in light of the current economic situation.

In addition to discussions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, General Aoun will meet with the Commander of the Central Command, a number of parliamentarians, members of the Senate, members of the strategic studies centers of Lebanese origin, and the American support group for Lebanon.
