Asmar: “Permeant and escalating action is a must.”

Head of General Labor Union, Bchara Al-Asmar, said via radio interview: “Amid this bitter reality, the country is completely suspended, people are groaning from poverty and hunger, and queues are formed   in front of gas stations and pharmacies, productive sectors are collapsing. What is left of the Lebanon we know?” “.

Stressing the importance of “taking permanent and escalating actions by the General Labor Union,” noting that “it is the people’s right to obtain executive and procedural authority, and we are witnessing an exceptional and bitter reality because we do not have a government to secure a minimum level of political stability.”

He explained that ” today’s movement points to the dangers we are facing, so this strike is a means of pressure.”
