The following statement was released by the Governor of the Banque du Liban:

Riad Salameh, Governor of the Banque du Liban, declared that the Banque du Liban will sell the dollar for 12,000 Lebanese pounds on the electronic platform for exchange operations “Sayrafa” and is exclusively approved for Circular No. 158 dated 6/8/2021.

In accordance with the circulars issued in this regard, all banks and exchange institutions must continue to record all cash foreign currency trading operations on the electronic platform for exchange operations “Sayrafa.”

On the “Sayrafa” platform, the total number of transactions for this week is 20 million US dollars, at a rate of 12,200 pounds per dollar.
