Bizri wonders why those responsible of fuel crisis has not been arrested yet

The Head of the National Committee for Covid-19 Vaccination, Dr. Abdul Rahman Bizri said in a statement, that “the fuel crisis unveiled the intersection of interests of the monopolists among some pillars of the political class and fuel traders.”

Bizri said: “The quantities confiscated by the army and security forces, and what the Lebanese citizen consumes, do not justify the credit lines that were opened for fuel.”

“This indicates that there are other undeclared or hidden quantities in some warehouses devoted for smuggling or illegal profit,” he said.

He wondered: “Why no one has been arrested yet? Why no one has been brought to trial due to monopoly? Why there is a sterile discussion about how to secure fuel for the Lebanese, while politicians benefit from fuel and its illegal and undeclared revenues?
