The black market dollar retained its previous price today, although with a small decrease. On the exchange rate, the dollar hit 11,800 pounds for sale and 11,900 pounds for purchase.

Lebanon is at a critical juncture in its history, as it faces a disastrous scenario of foreign reserve depletion. The dollar’s exchange rate at the Central Bank of Lebanon remained unchanged at 1507.5 pounds per dollar, and it is only used for basic commodities.

Lebanese banks set a price of 3,850 pounds to the dollar for small depositors withdrawing dollars, a decision that remains in effect till present. The Lebanon Syndicate of Money Changers has set the dollar exchange rate against the Lebanese pound at a limit of 3,850 pounds for purchase and 3,900 pounds for sale.

The exchange rate of the dollar in the black market closed today, on Tuesday, at a rate between 11,700 pounds for sale and 11,800 pounds for purchase against one dollar.
