Abdullah Bou Habib, the caretaker minister of foreign affairs, continued his talks on Friday in New York during the 77th session of the UN General Assembly (UNGA 77).

In this context, Minister Bou Habib attended the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) ministerial conference and spoke on behalf of Lebanon at the ministerial meeting regarding “UNRWA” in the presence of Antonio Guterres, the UN secretary-general.

Bou Habib also met with his Turkish counterpart, Mevlut Cavusoglu, and they discussed ways to enhance bilateral relations and deliberated on a number of regional files. Minister Cavusoglu also promised to visit Lebanon to sign a protocol for the rehabilitation and restoration of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants building in downtown Beirut.

On the other hand, Minister Bou Habib and Kyrgyz Foreign Minister, Jeenbek Kulubaev, signed an agreement on mutual exemption of entry visas for holders of special diplomatic and service passports between the two countries.
