During a UN meeting in Geneva commemorating the 75th anniversary of the “Universal Declaration of Human Rights,” Caretaker Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Minister Abdallah Bou Habib emphasized Lebanon’s commitment to democratic values, human rights, tolerance, and acceptance.
He highlighted Lebanon’s respect for the Declaration and its contribution during the preparation phase.
Despite challenges, including hosting two million refugees, Bou Habib pledged to preserve Lebanon’s unique formula based on diversity, pluralism, and peaceful coexistence.
Later, he was set to discuss recent developments in Gaza and the situation in southern Lebanon and the Middle East in a closed dialogue session organized by the “Humanitarian Dialogue” Research Center.
