British ambassador Martin Longden said, on twitter, “Spoke very frankly to deputy Gebran Bassil today about Flag of United Kingdom’s profound concern for Flag of Lebanon: political leaders are dancing at the edge of a cliff, and all sides must take responsibility and act. The only alternative I see is disaster – which Lebanon’s friends cannot prevent. That’s the choice”.
