COVID infections rises in Lebanon

In its daily report, the Ministry of Public Health announced the registration of 718 new infections with the Coronavirus, which raised the cumulative number of confirmed cases to 619,950, and 7 deaths were recorded.

On the other hand, Minister of Health Firas Abyad pointed out, through his account on “Twitter” earlier, that the number of daily “Corona” cases in Lebanon is still high, although it is much lower than the number of cases we reached in the last wave, noting that our hospital He received many patients who were previously vaccinated or infected with the virus, no doubt due to the most contagious delta mutant.

He said: “Another note is the large number of requests received to transfer Corona patients from emergency departments in other hospitals to our hospital, due to the lack of beds. It is clear that many hospitals are no longer opening their Corona departments, or demanding large additional sums from patients.”
