Caretaker Prime Minister, Hassan Diab, today chaired at the Grand Serail, a meeting devoted to the Qaraoun Lake incident, in the presence of Ministers Demianos Kattar, Imad Hoballah, Raymond Ghajar and Abbas Mortada, in addition to the President of the Council for Development and Reconstruction, Nabil Al-Jisr, Youssef Karam, Secretary-General of the National Council for Scientific Research, Dr. Maan Hamzah, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Authority of the Litani River, Dr. Sami Alawieh, and the Director of the Disaster Management Authority in Lebanon, Zahi Chahine, as well as PM Advisors, Khodor Taleb and Hussein Kaafarani.  The meeting deliberated on the contamination of  Qaraoun Lake and its underlying causes related to the chronic problems in the course of the Litani River
