The media office of the Minister of Energy and Water, Walid Fayyad, issued a statement today, in which it indicated that as soon as the Ministry received the report by Mayor of Wadi Khaled regarding the dent occurring in the “Al-Safa Valley Water Spring”, the Water and Energy Minister instructed the concerned departments within the General Directorate of Water and Electrical Resources and the Director General of the Water Corporation of North Lebanon to immediately inspect the water spring to determine the reasons that led to its condition and ways to address the issue and the possible remedies.

“Minister Fayyad asked the above-mentioned stakeholders to send a joint team tomorrow, Monday, to carry out a field inspection and provide a detailed report on the situation in preparation for taking the appropriate remedial measures,” the statement affirmed.
