Israeli Chief of Staff General Aviv Kohavi threatened, Sunday evening, “the Lebanese state and Hezbollah,” noting that “they will bear the repercussions if the sovereignty of the State of Israel is compromised, and if its interests or citizens are harmed.”

“In Lebanon, Hezbollah, , acts in Lebanon,” Kohavi said, during a ceremony to hand over command of the northern region, that ” it is Hezbollah, which has been identified by many countries of the world as a terrorist organization, who acts in Lebanon, and has seized large parts of Lebanon, effectively becoming the party that determines its security policy.

Kohavi added: “In terms of security, Hezbollah has kidnapped Lebanon, which is paying a double price, security and economic, and therefore Resolution 1701 is not implemented, as rockets, missiles, anti-armor launchers and control rooms are deployed in southern Lebanon, southern Beirut and the entire Bekaa Valley.”
