EU Ambassador to Lebanon, Ralph Tarraf, on Wednesday visited the North Lebanese city of Tripoli and tweeted the following about his visit:
“Visiting Tripoli today, a historical city of immense potential, that is suffering from the consequences of the crisis in Lebanon. I’m here to better understand the needs of its people. Thanks to the Mayor and Governor for hosting us. Tripoli deserves our attention and engagement.
Just outside of Tripoli, I met the inspiring team behind the EU funded Wahat Al Farah Garden. A place with a breathtaking view, which uses ecological methods of sustainable farming, while providing opportunities for people with disabilities. Make sure to check out their products!
Thank you Ruwwad for hosting a rich discussion with inspiring representatives of Civil Society Organizations active in Tripoli. I learned a lot on the role of CSOs in addressing the increasing needs of the people.”
