The Minister of Interior and Municipalities in the caretaker government, Muhammad Fahmy, confirmed that “coordination continues with Saudi Arabia with the aim of combating smuggling,” noting that “investigations into drug smuggling to Saudi Arabia are continuing, and we inform Riyadh of the details.”

Fahmy told Al-Sharq: “We will intensify procedures in terms of manual inspection in the port with the aim of combating smuggling.”
