Fayad says, “Electricity is on the Cabinet’s agenda on Tuesday”

Commenting on the electricity plan that the government will discuss tomorrow, Minister of Energy and Water Walid Fayad confirmed that it includes “raising the electricity supply in 2023, to 16 and 18 hours, and building new power stations.”

Fayad said that the “government will start securing funds to provide 24 hours of electricity, by 2025.”

He pointed out, in an interview with the “LBC” channel, that “the total electricity bill will be lower, and the citizen will not be obliged to rely on private generators. The bill will be one-third the cost of private generators,” stressing that “political quarrels are preventing the implementation of this plan. But the international community and politicians, should support this plan.”
