The National News Agency reported that a fire broke out in the outskirts Qobayat in Akar, destroying dry grass and a number of forest and fruit trees.

The Civil Defense personnel in the area rushed immediately to the site of the fire, and worked to surround and extinguish it before it spread to the neighboring lands, and then worked to cool the fire area for fears of erupting again.
